I have had some enquiries about whether or not I still see patients who are not Veterans...
I continue to provide usual GP services, including family-based primary care.
I also see Workcover and Comcare patients, and can assist with insurance medicals.
I just happen to have a large Veterans patient base, and I regard this area of my practice as a specialist interest.
WHAT I DON'T CURRENTLY PROVIDE/OFFER:
*Cervical screening services ('pap smears', as they were).
*Vaginal examinations on days when our nurse is not present.
*Mirena IUS or IUCD ('coil') services, except for checking threads, and only then on days when our nurse is present.
*Coal mine medicals.
*Minor surgery procedures, including biopsies and suturing.
*Nationally-funded vaccinations (we do not yet have the facilities to stock and provide childhood, influenza, pneumococcal, or Zostavax immunisations)- but this is on our list of things that we will eventually be providing. News nearer the time!
