This is just a reminder:
*If you can handle what you need from the appointment by making it a phone call, please just let reception know if you can... I WILL CALL YOU.
*Scripts can be done with a telephone call to you- BUT you need to get them picked up currently, either by coming in, or arriving at the Practice and asking us to bring them out to you by calling us when you are here (if you are worried about coming in). We can't be sending our staff to post things (infection risk for them, undue costs as well, reliability and speed of post uncertain). With there being a run on meds supplies, patients are having to get scripts now from us for even Ventolin or their private B12 supplies.
*If something comes in like a result or a request for a referral/end of treatment cycle report for my Veterans, then don't be surprised if I call you instead of bringing you in specifically for that. I can also do diagnosis forms for the DVA over the telephone.
*Health assessments, care plans, mental health plans, reviews of care plans, and health assessments obviously all require you to be present in person with me at the Practice, but if needed I am able to see you whilst you stay in your car for some of these (not health assessments) and then go back to my room to complete the work. Some things require you to spend a certain time with the Dr in person, and Medicare has unfortunately not given us a way to do this by telephone or otherwise.
*PLEASE REST SAFE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO COME IN, WE HAVE TIGHT INFECTION CONTROL MECHANISMS IN PLACE, PHYSICAL DISTANCING WITH THE WAITING ROOM, CLEAN ROOMS- AND YOU CAN OF COURSE REQUEST TO STAY IN YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU ARE NEEDED FOR THE APPOINTMENT!
